3 home DIY jobs to complete now

Using a DeWalt to Ryobi Badaptor battery adaptor to complete home DIY

As the days get lighter and warmer, we all want to spend more time outside enjoying Spring. But before you relax, consider using this time of year to get organised and complete some key home DIY jobs before summer comes.

1. Retouch internal paintwork

Spring is the perfect time for retouching paintwork around the home. Painted walls, skirting boards, door frames and ceilings can all do with regular maintenance to keep them looking fresh.

The longer days and warmer temperatures in Spring mean that you have longer to work, in better light. Plus, you can also have doors and windows open to keep everything well ventilated while you work.

And if you need a little extra help getting the paint to dry? Ryobi have a battery-powered floor fan that should do the job perfectly.

2. Smarten up your fences

Your fence panels are exposed to the elements all year round. During winter, they can take a real beating from the cold and high winds.

Get them looking smart again! Fix or reattach any loose panels of wood, sand away areas of damage, and give everything a good lick of paint or stain.

You can find battery-powered drills, nailers, and sanders in the Ryobi One+ range, all perfect for use outdoors.

3. Clear any blocked drains

Spring is a great time to check your pipes and drains and complete any maintenance. Over winter, grime, dirt and debris can accumulate. At the same time, cold temperatures can cause added complications and make it difficult to get outside and check everything over.

If you have any pipe blockages or clogged drains, the Ryobi One+ range contains a drain auger that could help. The powered feed makes extraction and retraction quick and easy, so you can easily clear household pipes as well as unblocking drains of up to 50mm in diameter.

So, what can you do if you’re not a Ryobi user, but a tool from the One+ range could be the answer to completing your home DIY tasks? A Badaptor battery adaptor can help.

Choose from one of four available models to convert your DeWalt 18-20V, Makita, Milwaukee or Bosch Professional 18V battery for use with any 18V tool in the Ryobi One+ range.
